Biography

Jessie was born and raised in the California Bay Area and has been a resident of Livermore California since 1971. The Livermore Valley has been a beautiful as well as an inspirational place to explore different art media and styles in a place that fosters her artistic expression.

Painting and drawing since she was a teenager, Jessie began drawing portraits and from there branched out into other media and subjects. She has been privileged to study with accomplished artists and teachers including Bob Gerbracht and Sherry Kwint-Cattoche. She has taken workshops from well-known artists such as Richard Whitney, Albert Handell, Daniel Greene, and Huihan Liu.

Capturing a glimpse of the God-given spirit in her artwork is a continuing challenge and inspiration. Jessie expresses her love of many subjects, including portraiture, animals, landscape and still life, using a variety of mediums such as Oil, Pastel, Charcoal and Pencil.
